If you are interested in having me create a special piece of art for you on commission, be aware that commissioning art is very different from purchasing completed art.  People who get the most enjoyment from art that they commission keep several general factors in mind.

Make sure your design ideas match the style of the artist you are commissioning.  Based on this, when you consider commissioning  me to create art for you, look over my website galleries to determine whether the art you envision matches my artwork style.

Be comfortable with the knowledge that your design will transform into something new.

Mixed media art may use a traditional canvas or take another form like letter sculpture or an assemblage. 

Prices vary with canvas art.  The cost of creating a sculpture letter is $50 before tax.  I also do larger thinner letter sculptures based on surnames.  The smaller, thicker wood letters I use for first and middle names.  One of the first steps I use when I get together with someone to determine how to do the artwork is to ask questions about interests, likes, and/or an interest in the etymology of their name.
